The right timing
A medical technologist works out the test date from your contact time, and arranges a re-test weeks later if needed.
Fast results
Blood drawn before 09:30 can have results the same evening (usually 1–2 working days). DNA tests take 3–5 days.
Results only to you
Reports are given only to you. Couples can test together and each receives their own report.

FAQ
Before you come
Do I need an NHI card? Will it show in my health records?
No NHI card is needed. STD tests here are self-pay and can be anonymous — no name or ID number. Results are not uploaded to the NHI database and are never shared with insurers or any third party. Only you can see and collect your report.
I had unprotected sex yesterday. Can I test today?
It is probably too early — you may be in the window period, so a negative result cannot rule out infection. Typical times: HIV RT-PCR about 7–10 days, gonorrhea and chlamydia DNA about 10–14 days, HIV antigen/antibody and syphilis about 4 weeks, and a negative result at 12 weeks rules out HIV. Message us with the date and we will plan the right time.
Can a blood test detect genital warts (HPV)?
Not reliably — HPV is a local skin and mucosa infection. We test urine for HPV DNA instead. A small amount of virus can still be missed, so a negative result is not a 100% guarantee. If you can see warts, please see a doctor for treatment.
Do I need to fast? Anything to know about the urine test?
STD blood tests do not need fasting. For urine tests (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV), try not to urinate for 1–2 hours before and give the first part of the stream.
How soon are the results ready?
Blood tests (HIV, syphilis) drawn before 09:30 can be ready the same evening, usually within 1–2 working days. DNA tests (gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV, trichomonas) take about 3–5 days.
What if a result is positive? Which doctor should I see?
Don't panic — a positive screening test needs confirmation and is not a diagnosis. Generally: HIV — infectious disease clinic (designated HIV hospital); syphilis — infectious disease or dermatology; gonorrhea, chlamydia, trichomonas — urology (men) or gynecology (women); genital warts — dermatology, urology or gynecology.
Should my partner test too?
Yes. With gonorrhea, chlamydia and trichomonas, if only one partner is treated, it is easy to pass the infection back. You can come on the same day; each person has a separate report.
Can I test during my period?
Blood tests are not affected. For urine DNA tests, blood can affect the sample, so it is better to wait until your period ends. If you are in a hurry, message us first.
